How to get paper dye transferred from construction paper out of white linoleum?
My kids thought they’d do some paper sculpting, but thought they would hide in the spare bathroom to do it. Bits of green construction paper got under the floor mat and when I took it up to wash, some of the dye had transferred to the white linoleum floor along the side of the tub. I’ve tried Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (worked on tile when we had a flood in our storage room and wet papers’ ink transferred) but to no avail. Would bleach do it? I don’t keep it in the house because of my overly curious kids, so I want to know that it would stand a chance of working before I bring a bottle of it into my house.
What are some real, effective, and reasonably priced energy saving systems for a new construction house?
Building a new house in a year or so. I would like to make it as green as possible, but it has to look like a conventional house (no massive solar panels or windmills) and I won’t spend a fortune on fringe technology that has no real-world returns. What’s the best bang for the buck? Geo thermal HVAC? On demand hot water heaters? LED lighting? Any other ideas that are reasonably priced, and produce a real energy savings? (pay for themselves in five years or so…)
