This is a completely unique west coast home a half hour by water off Tofino, BC, floating in the wilderness. This float house is 100% sustainable and the people who live here, Catherine and Wayne Adams, live off the land year round. They have built practically every part of their house with their own artistic and creative touch. I am both interested in studying horticulture and garden design. What would be a smarter thing to do: to get a degree in horticulture and then pursue some sort of specialisation in garden design or vice versa? To what an extent do these two things intertwine in real life?

I am in college right now for a degree in Horticulture. I want to do Landscape Design, and hope to go on to Landscape Architecture. As of right now, my community college only offers a degree in Horticulture, classes only for Landscape design. I am trying to get all my Gen Eds done before going for my Bachelor’s Degree.
In Landscape design, you need to know the growth habits of the plants you are using in your design, how they will mature, the Latin names because that is how they are identified in the industry, soil requirements and many other things. Your horticulture classes will teach you that.

green building concept is a very good idea in foreign countries..why are we not able to implement in india??Is it the fault of our govt?? can u just let me know the details of the concept i.e; the places where it was already in practice ..and the reasons why it wasn’t in india??

There is nothing great about the green building concept. It is a simple logic of using less energy per building. As more and more multistory building come into picture their losses due to inefficient use of resources also increase. In India probably there are too many old building and hence it is near impossible to implement these guidelines on them. government environment website has a lot of guidelines but it has not been put in as a law.

There are thousands of different jobs in the area of green technology, the wages therefore vary hugely. A british site with environmental jobs if you are looking elsewhere just do a google search to find sites in your country.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable sports ticket sites in just a couple minutes. it’s very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online… otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
